Disaster Recovery (BUDR) offering
brightstack TECHNOLOGIES, LLC has a comprehensive Backup and
Disaster Recovery solution which is revolutionizing the way
backups are handled and disaster recovery plans are
designed. Key advantages of the offering include:
 All
backups are done directly to a NAS (Network Attached
Storage). Meaning, they are done directly to disk.
Tape
backups, which require a great deal of maintenance and whose
media degrade over time, become a secondary or tertiary
backup.
The
BUDR solution replaces the need for online data backup and
recovery services, which often have long recovery times as
the files to be recovered need to be downloaded over the
Internet.
Snapshot
images of the servers are taken every 15 minutes onto the
local NAS. This dramatically increase the Recovery
Point Objectives (RPO) allowing you to recover from 15
minutes prior to the failure. Tape backups are
typically 24 hours.
The
current image of each server stored on the onsite NAS is
replicated offsite to two different datacenters. The
datacenter will store the most current image as of the last
successful replication.
If
a server should fail, it can quickly be brought back online
by mounting the image on the NAS onto the virtual server
which runs within the NAS. This dramatically lowers
the RTO (Recovery Time Objective).
A
failed server can be replaced with ANY other type of server,
you no longer have to match recovery servers to the original
equipment when doing a bare metal restore.
If
a catastrophic event should occur and the entire site is
lost, a NAS will be sent to your recovery site. From
there, all servers on the BUDR solution can be recovered.
